From Our Director

I arrived in the United States and settled in Miami in the summer of 2021, after spending a year traveling around the world. I am originally from Paris, France, and I studied real estate before starting my professional journey.

After several years working in team management and operations in Miami, I joined APEM in 2024. It was a real challenge for me, as working in education and with children was not something I had planned for. I embraced it as an opportunity to grow and to take on a meaningful mission.

Today, as Director of Operations, my mission is to help APEM grow, develop, and shine in Miami and beyond, while promoting the French language and francophone culture in one of the most dynamic French-speaking communities in the United States. I am very proud to be supported by local francophone businesses, the French-American Chamber of Commerce, and the Consulate General of France in Miami.

I would like to warmly thank Pascale Villet, President of the Board, and all board members for their trust and daily support. My gratitude also goes to our teachers, assistants, and educational team for working together with passion and unity toward the same vision.

Supporting French Education

We are recognized by the Florida Department of State and the French Foreign and European Affairs as an Educational Non-profit Organization.

Established in 2009, APEM is a non-profit youth association, apolitical, and non-religious registered with the State of Florida.

Run by a group of volunteer French-speaking parents, we ensure quality education from the start of the school year to the end. As such, APEM is recognized by the French government (AEFE - Agence pour l’enseignement français à l’étranger) and the French Embassy in Washington.

The association is also part of the FLAM (French as Native Language) network, which operates in the United States (New-York, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta). Our After School French classes are offered in Miami-Dade County and Broward County.

Our Mission

We help francophone children improve their minority language and enrich their heritage language.

We believe that languages create bridges between human being, languages are what make us connect. We are run by French natives and French education teachers

We have created a curriculum that allows children to improve their native language and we prepare them for international and American tests. Our teachers work closely with our educational coordinator in order to provide the best class for your children.

Our association values proximity with kids and parents. We focus on small groups. We are a part of the FLAM federation which labels us as affiliated with National French Education Ministry.
